Collection for Ukraine

Collection for Ukraine

As you will know the Polish Community around Inverness are making huge efforts to collect material to help the refuges coming across from Ukraine to Poland. I am sure that you have seeing the heart-rending scenes daily on our TV sets. There are various points for collection in Inverness, of which the Cathedral is one and is well organised. We are organising a collection point at Kiltarlity Free Church which will then be taken to the Cathedral. They have provided the list below of what they need.

Kiltarlity Free Church will be open from 10 am to 2pm on FRIDAY 4th March.

Please bring your good to the front door and they will be placed in the foyer for collection and transmission to Inverness Cathedral.

Please place your goods in bags, labelling the contents. (This is important as it saves people a lot of work)

The goods required are:
– Blankets
– Pillows
– Sleeping Bags
– Thermos Flasks
– Torches
– Prams
– Children’s Clothes especially clothes for keeping babies warm
– Baby boxes
– Babies’ nappies
– Boxes of plasters
– Sanitary Pads
– Toilet Paper

PLEASE STICK TO THE LIST AND THE BAGGING INSTRUCTIONS. There are other goods required but not wanted presently the Cathedral because of what they already have and because of the rate at which they can ship them. They now have organised a twice weekly van to travel to Poland to deliver the material.
